Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu would be hosting a Two-Day National Seminar on "Biotechnology in the Genomics and Proteomics Platform".

The seminar:
Genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics are avant-garde fields of biological science which are revolutionizing biotechnology over the past decade. Global analysis of changes at the molecular level of any living system becomes feasible through these ‘omics’ technologies. Some identifiable streams of work in these fields include :
Gene analysis and protein expression
studies in human, plant, animal, insects,
aquaculture and microbes.

Special invited lectures and paper presentations at the conference will enlighten the scientific
breakthroughs in this facet of biotechnology. The conference aims in acquiring and sharing knowledge in the aforesaid areas among scientific community all over the country.
