IIT-G Biotechnology jobs for B.Tech/M.Tech/M.Sc

Department of Biotechnology,IIT Guwahati,Assam invites applications for the following posts.


Project:
“Purification, Characterization and Production of Microbial Cutinase” funded by Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.


Posts:
SRF(Professional)/SRF/JRF


Essential Qualifications:
SRF Professional:
M. Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering or equivalent/ B. Tech
in Biotechnology/B. Pharm or equivalent with at least two years of relevant research experience.


SRF:
M. Tech in Biotechnology/Biochemical Engineering or equivalent or M. Sc. in Life
Sciences//B. Tech in Biotechnology/B. Pharm with at least two years of relevant research
experience.


JRF:
M. Sc. in Life sciences with valid GATE Score or qualification of NET/LS/equivalent test
conducted by ICAR/ICMR.


Desirable Qualifications:
First division throughout academic career. Experience in protein purification, PCR, cloning and
expression of gene (s) using bacterial expression system (s) will be given priority.


Fellowship:
For SRF (Professional): Rs. 15,000/ per month
SRF: Rs. 14,000/ per month
JRF: Rs. 12,000/Per month + HRA and Medical allowance.


Terms and conditions:
The appointment shall be on yearly contractual basis (up to Aug. 2011) subject to the
performance of the candidate in the project work.
