Two-days Conference Cum Scientific Meet on
“Industry-Institute Interaction in Biotechnology (CSM III - 2011)”

The Industry-Institute Interaction is an initiative which acts as a bridge between industries and the institutes.It seeks to provide the industry with quality solutions and modern techniques from time to time and developing projects that cater to their needs.
Mission:
Establishing linkage with several industries and institute to facilitate the students to have better industrial exposure.The Industry-Institute Inteaction shall work towards designing of Engineering curriculam for the students for jobs in MNCs, by exposing them to the newest technologies/practical methodologies.
Scope:
- Establishing live tie-up between Industries to enhance student employ ability
- MOU's between the institute and industries
- Recruiting "Meritorious Biotechnology students" on spot at the time of event.
- R&D activities sponsored by Industries at the Institute.
- Joint research programmes and field studies by faculties,students and people from industries.
- Forecasting industry requirements from time to time.
- Getting inputs to short term technical courses and workshops
- To promote entrepreneurship in technical institution
- To develop good work culture among students
- Participation of experts from industry in curriculum development
- In the academic front, academicians can meet a large number of Biotechnology companies in a single consign. It has decided to discuss about ‘Technology Transfer’ and ‘Commercialization of Bioproducts’ by the eminent scientists coming from IITs, NITs and Universities.
- Around 100 companies are going to participate in this meet. The event is being sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), New Delhi and Ministry of Earth Science, New Delhi.
