Tamil Nadu MSc/PhD Biotechnology jobs

Department of Microbiology, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem, Tamil Nadu invites applications for the following posts.

Project:
"Detoxification of arsenic and iron from ground water and soil through bioreactor designing and different treatment columns"

Post:
1) RA

Qualification:
Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Marine Biology/Environmental Sciences
or
Having 3 years of research, teaching and design development experience after PG with at least one research paper in SCI journal

Salary:
Rs.22,000/- p.m.(Consolidated)

2) SRF

Qualification:
M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Marine Biology/Environmental Sciences with at least 55% marks & one publication in SCI Journal and should have 2 years of research experience

Salary:
Rs. 18,000/- p.m. for 1st, 2nd year and Rs. 20,000/- pm for subsequent 3rd year depending on progress of research having been assessed as satisfactory

3) JRF

Qualification:
M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Marine Biology/Environmental Sciences with minimum 55% marks after qualifying the National Eligibility Test (NET)

Salary:
Rs.16,000/ p.m. for the first 2 years. On completion of 2 years as JRF and if the fellow is registered for PhD, the fellowship will be upgraded to Rs. 18000/-p.m as a SRF for the 3rd year
