Job description:
- Support/provide leadership for activities involving generation of expression of proteins from mammalian cells. Experience and expertise with operation of wave platforms and/or stirred tank reactors.
- Experience/expertise in cell culture activities involved in preparation of stable cell lines
- Good understanding of the theory and practice of mammalian stable cell line development and protein expression necessary.
- Experience/expertise with downstream activities involving protein purification will be a plus
- May include supervisory responsibilities managing a team of junior scientists and mentor/guide them as appropriate in their day-to-day work including current and anticipated troubleshooting
- Be a good team player and help promote open and seamless communication within the team
- Contribute to and help sustain a positive working environment within the lab, team and the larger organization
- Contribute to key decision making (scientific awnd non-scientific) both within and outside the team
Qualification:
Ph.D in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of Industry experience. Postdoc not necessary but would be a plus.
