IVRI( Indian Veterinary Research Institute) ,Bareilly, Izatnagar(U.P.), invites applications for the following temporary positions under ICAR scheme.

1)Name of the post:
Research associate

a)Project title:
All India Network Programme on Haemorrhagic Septicaemia(HS).

b)Essential qualification:
M.V.Sc/Ph.D in Veterinary Bacteriology/Microbiology/ImmunologyAnimal Biotechnology.

c)Desirable qualification:
Experienece of handling of animals ,no hesitation to travel heavily to collect samples from out break cases and must be good in handling computer.

Preference will be given to those having experience in isolation and charaterization of Bacteria, mol.bio techniques, vaccine preparation, testing and immunological work.

d)Age limit:
Max.40 years for men and 45 for women.

Relaxable-5 years for SC/ST 3 years for OBC.

f)Emoluments:

2)Name of the post:
Senior Research Fellow.

a)Project title:
Development and evolution of a simple recombinant protein antigen based serological assay for diagnosis & screening of leptospirosis in animals.

b)Essential qualification:
M.V.Sc in Vety.Bacteriology/Microbiology or M.Sc in Microbiology or Animal science.

c)Desirable qualification:
Experienec of maintenance of Leptospira cultures: use of serodiagnostic assays etc. & knowledge of computer operation.

d)Age limit:
Same as post no 1 (above)

e)Date and place of walk-ins:
05 January 2008 at 11.00 A.M.

f)Emoluments:
Rs.9.5k/- month for M.V.Sc and Rs.8k/-month consolidated and HRA for non-vety candidates(M.Sc's)
