School of Life Sciences ,Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi invites applications for the following posts.

1. CSIR project:

Title of the Project:
Generation of broad spectrum disease resistant transgenic plant through over-expression of Arabidopsis NPR1 gene.

Essential Qualification:
Msc. in any branch of life science, CSIR Net qualified.

Desirable:
Experience with rice tissue culture

Duration:
Position is available immediately and up to Nov 2009

2. DST project:

Title of the project:
Role of serpin, a conserved protease inhibitor in regulating rice disease defense response.

Essential qualification:
M.Sc. in any branch of life science

Desirable:
Experience in molecular biology/ tissue culture/RNAi

Duration:
Position is available immediately and up to May 2010.
