NIO vacancies for Marine Biotechnology/Biology

National Institute of Oceanography (NIO),Dona Paula, Goa, would be holding walk-ins for the follwoing temporary posts.

Project:
“Fluvial fluxes in coastal and marine environment” (GAP-2027).

Post:
Project Assistant - II
(One Position)

Pay:
Rs. 12000/ p.m (consolidated).

Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc. in Marine Biotechnology/ Marine Science from a recognized University with minimum 55 % marks in aggregate at the qualifying exam.

Desirable :
Working experience on suspended Flux, Component analysis, magnetic susceptibility of the sediments.

Job requirement :
The selected candidate will be required to do component analysis, sea truth data collection, component separation magnetic susceptibility, granulation and clay mineral analysis and day to day project work. He/she will be required to go on extensive boat/ship cruises.

Duration:
Initially one year.

Agelimit:
Maximum 28 years for both projects.
