NIO Walk-ins- Biotech jobs for B.Tech /M.Sc

National Institute of Oceanography (NIO),Dona Paula, Goa, would be holding walk-ins for the follwoing temporary posts.

Project:
(GAP-2032& 2033 Funded by MoES/CMLRE “ OMZ-Polyphasic approach ” “Environment & Productivity pattern in EEZ” .

Post No: 1.
Project Assistant ( II )
(Two Positions)

Pay:
Rs. 12000/ p.m (consolidated).

Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc. Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, BE/B.Tech Biotechnology from recognized University with minimum 55 % marks in aggregate at the qualifying exam.

Desirable Experience:
Laboratory Experience for at least one year. Knowledge of basic computer applications. Familiar with microbiology and molecular techniques.

Job requirement :
Assisting the scientists in the Laboratory and field especially cruise. Data processing and preparation of the report.

Duration:
Initially one year.


DNA Gel-Electrophoresis

Project Assistant ( II )
(One Position)

Pay:
Rs. 12000/ p.m (consolidated).

Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc Marine Sciences/Marine Biology/Microbiology Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Biological Sciences /Environmental Sciences/ B.E./B.Tech from recognized University with minimum 55 % marks in aggregate at the qualifying exam.

Desirable Experience:
Basic Knowledge of computers.

Job requirement :
Attending cruises and assisting in Laboratory activities.

Duration:
Initially one year.

Agelimit:
Maximum 28 years for both projects.
