About the fellowship:
2009 Transatlantic Renewable Energy Fellowship in Germany, a new initiative of the German Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt), administered by InWEnt gGmbH in partnership with CDS International, Inc.

The program allows 15 fellows to attend a 5-day briefing on Germany's renewable energy policies and structures and complete an internship of 3-6 months with a leading renewable energy company or organization.

As part of the Transatlantic Climate Bridge, the Fellowship seeks to further mutual understanding and transatlantic cooperation in climate and energy policies, to provide practical training for future leaders in the renewable energy and environmental fields, and support renewable energy institutions in developing their human resources and transatlantic networks.


Program duration:
September 5 through December 19, 2009, with the
possibility to apply for a program through March 19, 2009.


Stipend:
Fellows will receive a stipend in the amount of 3,300 Euro as well as support for
travel expenditures to and in Germany.

Kerala Biotechnology Commission(KBC) under The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) invites application from eligible candidates for Post Doctoral and Pre-Post Doctoral Fellowship in Biotechnology for the year 2009.


Research:
The research work shall be carried out in an institution under KSCSTE or any reputed R&D institution/University departments in India where research in frontiers areas of biotechnology is going on.


Duration:
The duration of the fellowship will be initially for a period of two years and extendable to the third year depending on the progress of the research work.


Qualification:
Post Doctoral Fellowship:
The applicant should possess first class Masters Degree in life science including veterinary science, agriculture, forestry, fisheries
or any Masters degree in Medicine followed by PhD with biotechnological aspects in the relevant field.


Pre-Post Doctoral fellowship:

The Pre-Post Doctoral Fellowship will be converted to Post Doctoral Fellowship from the date of award of the Doctoral degree.
