The Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) is inviting applications for a PhD Student (f/m/d) in Plant Biology within a DFG-funded research project focused on understanding how plants respond to heat stress at the molecular level.

🔬 Research Focus
• Plant stress biology and heat stress responses
• Heat Shock Factors (HSFs) in plants
• Molecular cloning and construct development
• Gene expression and molecular analyses
• Plant physiology and protein biochemistry
• Functional characterization of temperature signaling pathways

🎓 Ideal Candidate
✔ Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biosciences, Plant Science, Food Chemistry, or related disciplines
✔ Experience in molecular biology and plant biotechnology
✔ Knowledge of plant stress signaling and physiology
✔ Strong analytical and communication skills
✔ Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary plant science research
