🔬 What is the OIST Research Internship?
The OIST Research Internship offers short-term research placements in OIST's world-class STEM laboratories. Interns work on specific projects under the direct guidance of OIST faculty, fully integrating into the university’s active research community.

🎯 Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
OIST welcomes applications from students in Japan and all around the globe. You are eligible to apply if you fall into any of the following categories:
Undergraduate Students: Must be in the final two years of a Bachelor’s degree.
Master’s Students: Currently enrolled in any year of a Master's degree program.
Recent Graduates: Those who have recently completed their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
💰 What Support is Provided? (Fully Funded!)
To allow you to focus entirely on your research, OIST offers a highly competitive support package:
Allowance: JPY 2,400 per day (to cover daily living costs)
Travel: Fully covered round-trip airfare to Okinawa, Japan.
Accommodation: Fully furnished on-campus housing provided at no cost (shared/apartment-style).
Commuting: Free access to the OIST shuttle system.
