First-year undergraduate biology students have an opportunity to step into the world of frontier science. The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), has officially opened applications for the National Initiative on Undergraduate Science (NIUS) Biology 2026.
What is NIUS Biology?
The NIUS program introduces motivated undergraduate students to advanced scientific research, critical inquiry, and laboratory methodologies early in their academic journey. Selected participants enter a two-year association that bridges classroom theory with practical laboratory investigations.
